Not a government website
This website is privately operated. It is not DNREC (the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control), not Drive Electric Delaware, not the IRS, and not any other state, federal, county or municipal government body. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by, affiliated with, or connected to any of them. Any reference to a government office, program name, form or publication is descriptive only and does not imply any relationship.
Vehicle rebates, charger rebates and solar rebates are all applied for directly with the relevant state program or utility. Nothing can be filed or applied for through this site, and this site cannot check, grant, deny or look up the status of any application or funding pool. Use the official links at the bottom of this page to reach the right program.
We are not tax professionals or licensed solar/EV installers
The people who publish this site are not attorneys, certified public accountants, enrolled agents, licensed tax preparers, licensed electricians, licensed solar installers, or government employees. No one here is qualified to advise you, and no one here is trying to.
Information only — no advice, no opinion
Everything on this site is general information compiled from publicly available government sources — DNREC, Drive Electric Delaware, the IRS, and Delaware Code — and presented as a plain summary of what those sources say. It is not tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, or financial advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, lease, install, or forgo any vehicle or solar equipment.
Reading this site or contacting anyone associated with it does not create an accountant-client relationship, an attorney-client relationship, or any other professional or fiduciary relationship.
Whether you personally qualify for any rebate, credit or program described here depends on facts — your income, your utility, your vehicle, your installer's pricing, program funding on the day you apply — that general information cannot account for. Before you buy an EV, sign a solar contract, or rely on any incentive described here, consult a qualified professional or contact the agency or utility directly.
No warranty of accuracy or currency — programs change and funding runs out
This is the single most important warning on this page. Rebate amounts, program windows, eligibility rules and funding pools for the programs described on this site change frequently, and several of them are funded from a fixed pool of money that can close or run out entirely without advance notice. The Delaware Clean Vehicle Rebate Program is reevaluated annually and has been paused between cycles in the past. The EV charger rebate is explicitly first-come, first-served against a $2,000,000 pool. The Green Energy Program's solar rebate rate has changed before and could change again. Federal law itself changed abruptly in 2025, ending two federal credits with no phase-out period. Content here may be out of date, incomplete, or simply wrong by the time you read it.
We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, that any statement here is accurate, current or complete. All content is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on this site.
Verify every figure against the official source before acting on it. The Sources section on the home page links the government documents each figure was drawn from, and the footer links the primary program pages directly.
External links
Links to government and third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or accuracy. A link is not an endorsement, and no link implies any affiliation or partnership. Search results in this subject area contain many private, ad-monetized websites (including this one) that summarize official programs — confirm you are on an official government or utility site before entering personal or financial information anywhere, and before assuming any figure is current.
Corrections
If you find something on this site that is inaccurate or out of date, the official source linked on the page is authoritative and should be followed over anything published here.
